What we collect
When you use a search tool on this site, the domain name or keyword you enter is sent to our server and forwarded to the relevant lookup service. We cache results briefly to reduce load and improve speed. We record a hashed form of your IP address temporarily for rate limiting, which prevents automated abuse of the tools.
We do not require an account to use any tool on this site, and we do not ask for personal information to run a search.
Third parties involved in a lookup
- Our registry partner receives the domain name you are checking, in order to answer whether it is available.
- RDAP servers operated by registries and registrars receive the domain name when you use the WHOIS or expiry tools.
- Public DNS resolvers receive the domain name when you use the DNS lookup tool.
None of these receive personal information about you from us.
If you register a domain
Registration is completed through our reseller partner, and the personal data you provide at that point is handled under their privacy policy and under ICANN's registration data requirements. Registering a domain requires providing accurate registrant contact details; supplying false details is grounds for cancellation under ICANN policy.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising trackers.
