Questions about a domain, a transfer, or something we got wrong.
Who to write to
One thing to know before you write: we do not sell domains and we cannot act on one. Registration, renewal and transfers happen at the registrar you use, and only that registrar can change anything about a name you hold. What we can do is explain the rules, tell you which party you actually need, and correct anything on this site that is wrong.
- Anything about a domain you already hold — your registrar, not us. If you are not sure who that is, our WHOIS and RDAP lookup names the registrar of record even when the registrant details are redacted.
- Corrections, questions and press — [email protected]. Something we got wrong, a rule that has changed, a question about an extension, or a partnership enquiry.
- Portfolio, recovery and security work — [email protected], which reaches DNAccess. Stolen and hijacked domain recovery, registrar disputes, registry lock, DNSSEC and portfolio governance are consulting engagements rather than anything you buy on this site.
Corrections
Registry policy changes, sometimes with little notice, and our extension and guide pages describe rules that were accurate when we published them. If something here is wrong or out of date, we would rather know. Send the page and the correction to [email protected] and we will fix it.
Reporting abuse
No domain is registered through this site, so we are not the right recipient for an abuse report and we have no power to act on one. The correct recipient is the sponsoring registrar, which is required to publish an abuse contact and to act on reports it receives.
Find the registrar with our WHOIS and RDAP lookup — the registrar of record is published even where the registrant details are redacted — then use that registrar's published abuse address. If the registrar does not act, ICANN operates a complaint process for ICANN-accredited registrars. Our guide to recovering a stolen or hijacked domain sets out that escalation in order.
